Latif”, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the importance of participating in the activities of (Cairo Water Week in its seventh session under the title “Water and Climate: Building Resilient Societies” under the patronage of His Excellency President “Abdel Fattah El-Sisi”, during the period from October 13 to 17, 2024, which coincides with the launch of the activities of (Africa Water Week in its ninth session).

He pointed out that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is participating with a distinguished and diverse pavilion in the activities of the seventh session of the exhibition, which was inaugurated by Dr. “Mostafa Madbouly”, Prime Minister, where various fields of water treatment are displayed, including the latest technologies used in the fields of water treatment, sanitation, drinking water purification, as well as smart irrigation systems.

Also, the products of the Arab Organization for Industrialization of sewage pumps (Cleopatra), in its various models, which are characterized by the highest percentages of local components and are a distinguished local product according to international quality standards, and an alternative to imports Pumps from abroad.

He added that there is a wide governmental interest in encouraging local manufacturing and localizing the pump industry, which paves the way for transforming Egypt into a leading regional center in this field, noting that the Arab Organization for Industrialization has succeeded in localizing the pump industry according to international quality specifications, which is a positive step towards achieving Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030.

He stated that the Arab Organization for Industrialization has succeeded in manufacturing spare parts and repairing old pumps for the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, using reverse engineering, which had a significant impact on the operation of many old pumping stations and saving costs and thus hard currency.

He pointed out that he also displays the organization’s products in the field of desalination of salty well water, including small stations for desalinating drinking water extracted from wells to serve remote areas, in addition to water savers used in homes, places of worship, hotels, government agencies and business institutions.
This is in addition to smart meters for street lighting and polyethylene pipes of different diameters used in all infrastructure projects for new cities and the administrative capital, water purification and desalination projects, drainage networks, and connecting water networks to deprived villages in the governorates, as well as natural gas pipes and their supplies.

The Arab Organization for Industrialization pavilion witnessed an official turnout on the first day of the opening of Cairo Water Week, as a number of senior officials flocked to inspect it, including Dr. “Hani Sweilem”, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, accompanied by a number of Arab and African Ministers of Irrigation and Agriculture, where they expressed their admiration for the Authority’s various products and its manufacturing capabilities to develop technology using scientific methods to achieve the highest rates of local manufacturing and transfer and localization of modern technology in the fields of water treatment, for various uses. Under the slogan “Made in Egypt”.
