The Foreign Minister meets his Congolese counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdel Aati met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Teresa Kaikwamba, on September 27, 2024, on the sidelines of their participation in the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two ministers agreed to continue efforts to develop bilateral cooperation relations in various sectors, promote trade exchange, and cooperate in the fields of health, agriculture, and capacity building, through the expertise of the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding. , and specialized programs in various aspects of peace, and to benefit from the capabilities available in the two countries in a manner that serves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.

The possibility of Egypt’s contribution to implementing projects of vital importance to the Congolese state in the fields of energy and infrastructure was discussed in light of the expertise and capabilities available to major specialized Egyptian companies, as well as discussing the most important issues related to the priorities of the countries of the continent, where the Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and joint work with the aim of advancing the integration agenda and achieving the goals of sustainable development in the African continent.
