During the tour, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen and Mohamed Sherbaty inspected the residential complex that the company built 10 years ago at low prices and provided to its employees on easy terms, in addition to establishing the Summit Language School, which was opened by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group 3 months ago.
Eng. Mohamed Sherbaty, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed his happiness with the visit of the Turkish Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen to the company’s factories, and expressed his thanks to the Egyptian government for its support for Turkish expansions and investments.
An exchange of ideas and views was also held between Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen and Mohamed Sherbaty on establishing a Turkish technical school in Sadat City. The two parties also consulted on establishing the Turkish Investors Association in Egypt.
It is worth noting that the Sherbaty Group of Companies consists of the Quadrilateral Vortex Textiles LLC and the Modern Company for Concrete and Cement Products LLC, and the total number of employees in these two companies exceeds 5,000 workers. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of both companies is Eng. Mohamed Sherbaty.
The Quadrilateral Vortex Textiles LLC is considered one of the leading companies in the Middle East in the field of textile industry, as it has an integrated production chain that starts from processing ginned cotton to producing ready-to-tailor fabrics.
The company was established in Sadat City, Menoufia Governorate, in 1998, and started with one factory until it expanded to include 5 factories today with total investments estimated at about 400 million dollars.
The company’s production capacity is about 100 million linear meters annually of denim (jeans) and gabardine fabrics. The company exports more than 40% of its production to foreign markets and 60% to meet the needs of the local market for fabrics.
It ranks first in the ranking of the top exporters in Egypt in the field of textile exports, according to the reports of the Export Council for Textiles and Yarns for successive years.
Currently, a new factory is being established in Sadat City with investments of $ 24 million, and is scheduled to open in the second half of 2025, which will provide about 1,500 new job opportunities.
As for the Modern Company for Concrete and Cement Products, which was established in 2009 in Sadat City, Menoufia Governorate, with Turkish investments on an area of 173 thousand square meters.
The company is one of the leading companies in Egypt in manufacturing all types of concrete products using the latest equipment and production lines in cooperation with the best international companies.
The company’s products include precast and prestressed concrete buildings, blocks, interlocking, hollowcore and concrete edges (curbs), in addition to ready-mix concrete.
As part of the company’s keenness to develop and transfer the latest global technology to the Egyptian market, construction work has begun on the first factory for the production of white blocks, Gazbeton, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, on an area of 148 thousand square meters, with a total investment of 33 million euros.
This product, which is mainly used in Turkey and European countries, has many characteristics, including being lightweight, heat-insulating, and fire-resistant for up to 18 hours, which contributes to reducing construction costs and reducing energy consumption by 30%.
The company also relies on lime to produce this product, making it a more environmentally friendly product than using clay in the manufacture of red bricks.
The Gazbeton factory is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2025 in the presence of officials from the Egyptian and Turkish sides.
Eng. Sherbati, Chairman of the Board of Directors, confirmed the group’s commitment to increasing its investments in Egypt, as it plans to pump about $70 million into new expansions during the coming year.
He also praised the significant development in Egypt’s infrastructure, which is a major factor in attracting more foreign investments.
Sharbaty pointed out the importance of the Gazbeton project as a qualitative leap in the field of construction in Egypt and will play a role in saving energy significantly if its use is generalized. He also confirmed the group’s support for the idea of transforming Sadat City into a center for the ready-made garment industry, with the company preparing to establish and manage an industrial zone specialized in the field of clothing if requested to do so.
He also stressed the importance of supporting tax exemption for exporters working under the internal investment system, similar to free zones, which will contribute significantly to encouraging manufacturers to increase exports and strengthen the national economy in a short time.
Finally, he confirmed that the Sharbaty Group of Companies is committed to its role in supporting the Egyptian economy and enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Turkey in the fields of investment and industry.
