Egypt’s Sustainable Economic Workers’ System” welcomes the first Libyan delegation of youth to activate the training programme on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence

The engineer Haitham Hussein, Chairman of the “Sustainable Economic System of Egyptian Workers,” welcomed the young trainees and job-seekers from Libya, who were sent by the Libyan government under the banner of the “Noble Care” campaign, supported by Commander Khalifa Haftar, the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, and with full endorsement from the Prime Minister, Dr Osama Hamad, under the supervision and follow-up of Dr Abdullah Al-Sharif Arhouma, Minister of Labour in the Libyan government.

This came as an activation of the cooperation protocol signed between the Libyan government, represented by the General Authority for Employment and the Egyptian Industrial Economic Workers’ Federation, headed by Engineer Haitham Hussein, representing the Egyptian side, and the Libyan Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, headed by Engineer Abdullah Al-Sharif Arhouma, representing the Libyan side.

This is in line with the directives of the Egyptian political leadership regarding the necessity of enhancing Egyptian-Libyan cooperation in particular, and Arab cooperation in general, especially in various economic and security fields.

In light of that event, Engineer Haitham Hussein, Chairman of the Egyptian Workers Economic System, expressed his happiness in contributing to the reconstruction of Libya through the Egyptian Workers System. He emphasised the importance of transferring knowledge and training to the youth of Libya during his speech at the press conference held in the conference hall of the complex. This was during the reception ceremony for the Libyan youth delegation participating in the “Cybersecurity and Information Technology” training programme, which is part of the initiative to develop a qualified Libyan workforce to meet employment needs.

The engineer Haitham Hussein clarified that our interests in the Arab nation are the same, and we must unite and enhance our cooperation together. He pointed out that Libya is a pivotal country in the Arab world, and it is a sister nation to us with shared interests with Egypt. He added that our brothers in Libya have rights upon us, and it is our duty to reciprocate by providing education and training to them in general.

The engineer Haitham Hussein affirmed that the youth and intellect are the foundation of nation-building, noting that the Egyptian leadership has stated that Libya is a red line, and that Egypt is committed to training and educating Libyan youth in line with the needs of the labour market.

He also praised the role of Marshal Khalifa Haftar in focusing on the development of the Libyan individual through training and education, pointing out that security does not rely solely on the gun, but also on knowledge and information.

Engineer Haitham Hussein also urged Libyan youth to take advantage of this training opportunity, pointing out that the relations between Egypt and Libya transcend geographical borders; they are a relationship of faith and language. He added that the job market requires intelligence, integrity, and energy.

Engineer Haitham Hussein revealed that Libya possesses a treasure trove of idle factories that must be reactivated, and he highlighted the necessity of training young people in the latest technology in the fields of entrepreneurship and management to meet future market needs.

She also expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian Workers’ Union and Engineer Haitham Hussein on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of success and establishment, emphasising that this achievement has only been realised thanks to continuous efforts and diligent work.

Furthermore, she extended her thanks to the Libyan government for its significant support to the youth through training and qualification programmes and the provision of job opportunities, wishing success for the youth, the union, and the trainees in the future.
